World Animal Day Grant

The annual World Animal Day grant is proudly sponsored by Naturewatch Foundation. The Grant is restricted to applications from World Animal Day Ambassadors for non-emergency projects being undertaken by a registered, not for profit, non-governmental animal welfare organisation.

The Trustees and Advisors of Naturewatch Foundation select projects they believe:

  • have the best potential to make a significant and lasting, positive impact upon the welfare of animals
  • are in the spirit of World Animal Day and will help the movement achieve its Mission to raise the status of animals around the globe.

Naturewatch Foundation normally seeks to support between two and five projects and takes into consideration comparative information on costs between different countries. All applications are carefully and sympathetically considered and the winner(s) of the World Animal Day Grant are announced shortly before World Animal Day (4 October) each year.
