Animal Protection and the General Election
Naturewatch Foundation has joined twenty other animal protection organisations around the United Kingdom in calling for our future political leaders to use their power to protect animals.
The joint statement to all parties in the 2017 General Election asks them to “deliver meaningful action to deliver on the UK’s desired identity as a world leader in animal welfare”.
‘GE2017’ represents an opportunity to ensure the UK’s animal protection laws are strengthened and extended as a result of leaving the European Union.
Naturewatch Foundation asks all voters to consider the animal welfare policies of the parties and individuals standing in your electorate, and whether they align with the way you believe animals should be treated and respected.
