We can all create a world without animal testing

It can be difficult to help animals in laboratories because experiments happen behind closed doors. But there are simple things we can all do to end the use of animals in testing. Use our action pack to create your own cruelty-free future. A downloadable pdf version of this guide is also available.

Help make a difference – start a conversation

One of the most effective things we can all do is start a conversation. If you’re concerned about the use of animals in experiments, why not chat to family and friends, write to your MP, or even your local newspaper to tell them why?

We’ve put together a handy glossary so that you can navigate some of jargon that’s often used in discussions about animal testing.

The Compassionate Shopping Guide

The Compassionate Shopping Guide is a great way to find all your cruelty-free products in one place, but it’s also a way means to encourage other companies to come on board.

Our team contacts hundreds of personal care and household brands to make sure:

  1. They have a fixed cut-off date for animal testing.
  2. They’re not owned by another company (or part of a subsidiary) that tests on animals.
  3. They don’t sell their products in markets where animal testing is still mandatory.

The guide shows that lots of companies are doing the right thing and that there’s a serious, growing market for compassionate shopping.

What is the Compassionate Shopping Guide?

Our campaign manager Kate explains what the Compassionate Shopping Guide is, why it’s so important and how our supporters can help.

Explore and share the guide with friends

The easiest way to help is to use the guide yourself and share it with friends and family. It’s available online, or if you’d rather have a printed copy, you can get one in our shop.

You can also help by spreading the word to the brands you love. Remember, there’s no cost for brands to appear in the guide, so if they’re not in it already, why not ask them to join?

Of course, we can’t campaign against animal testing without your support. We’re working hard to end the needless suffering of mice, rabbits, dogs, cats and many other animals.
