Fundraising

If you’re as passionate about animal welfare as we are, and you have the time to spare, why not hold a fundraising event?

If you’re under 16 you’ll need permission from a parent or guardian.

Here are some ideas to get you started, but you can be as creative as you like – if you have an original idea you’d like to try out, just let us know.

Fundraising

Involve the neighbours – ideas for your community
  • A sponsored walk, run, swim or bike ride – or maybe a sponsored dog walk?
  • Mini sports tournament – rounders, cricket or five-a-side football, with an entry fee to take part.
  • A bake sale – giving tastes better with cake.
  • A car boot or garage sale.
  • Organise a raffle and ask local businesses to donate items as raffle prizes.
  • A karaoke night at your local pub – pay to sing (or pay to stop others from singing).
  • A pub charity quiz night – sometimes kudos is reward enough.
Ideas for your school
  • Non-uniform day, or if there’s no uniform, dress up for the day
  • Talent competition.
  • Organise a disco.
  • A fundraising car wash.
The main thing is to involve friends, family, neighbours and colleagues – make sure people know about your event well in advance and that you have someone collecting the money on the day.
When the event is over, be sure to thank everyone who took part or contributed to it.
