Amazing Animal Welfare Wonder Award!

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news: our CEO, Sarah Carr, has been named an ‘Amazing Woman’ by Woman & Home magazine for her dedication to improving animal welfare worldwide.

This award is an incredible achievement, and one that reflects on our charity as a whole.

“I’m honoured to be featured, but this is not about me. It’s a reflection of everyone in the NatureWatch Foundation team and the charity’s many supporters and collaborators” – Sarah Carr

Sarah has dedicated over 15 years of her career to standing up for animals and people. Through our diverse work campaigning against animal experiments to our ‘Protect Animals, Protect People’ campaign focusing on the link between animal abuse and domestic violence, she has guided Naturewatch Foundation to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Next steps

We have already achieved so much as a small charity, but there is so much more that needs to be done. We want to put a stop to animal testing worldwide, tackle wildlife crime in England and Wales, and close legal loopholes that allow cruel practices like puppy farming to persist. We want to expand our outreach in countries such as Ukraine, where we’ve been fundraising to support an animal shelter for strays left behind by the war, and raise awareness of the link between domestic abuse and animal abuse.

Our work is diverse, but our vision never changes: to make the world a kinder place for all living creatures. We aim to continue giving a voice to the voiceless and advance animal welfare around the world.

Sarah credits much of her inspiration to women like Michelle Obama, and her words “when they go low, we go high”.

From all of us at Naturewatch Foundation: congratulations, Sarah! And a huge thank you to our community of supporters: without you this wouldn’t be possible.
