Time and time again, animal testing has been shown to be ineffective and fails to acknowledge genuine scientific modernisation.

With the advancement of non-animal methods as alternatives and the UK Government’s recent release of their ‘Replacing animals in science: A strategy to support the development, validation, and uptake of alternative methods.’ things were looking hopeful. Or were they?

We are cautious about accepting this strategy and believe that the acceleration of ending animal testing should be much quicker, with many more specific targets. It’s simply not where it needs to be to end the suffering of millions of animals every year in the UK.

Our friends at Camp Beagle are currently petitioning the government to ‘End testing on dogs and other animals for development of products for human use.

We support this and would urge you all to please sign the petition. Let’s get the numbers to 100k and force a parliamentary debate on this. The noise we have recently created around animal testing is just getting louder. Let’s make it so loud that they cannot possibly continue to ignore it.

Sign their petition here.
