Celebrate World Animal Day this year by moving 100K to raise money for Naturewatch Foundation and their work in animal welfare.
As the proud coordinator of World Animal Day, Naturewatch Foundation is celebrating 100 years of this significant event. To mark this anniversary, we’re challenging ourselves and encouraging our supporters to make a real difference in the lives of animals. By moving 100km over the month of September, you’ll be directly contributing to animal welfare globally.
We are raising money to help fund our work, including the 2026 World Animal Day grant. Which will help another amazing organisation with its work to improve the welfare of animals.
Previously, our grant winners have been organisations such as:
· Jakarta Animal Aid Network (JAAN) in Indonesia rescues, rehabilitates, and provides veterinary care to stray and wild animals across the country.
· Lilongwe Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (LSPCA), Malawi, for their work that aimed to stop the roadside sales of animals.
· People for Animals Siliguri, India, whose work includes helping stray and injured animals within the city. The World Animal Day Grant allowed them to invest in a modified rickshaw veterinary ambulance, enabling them to reach even more injured animals through their travel in the modified rickshaw ambulance.
· Animed Arad, Romania, for their work to spay and neuter strays and pets from low-income homes, helping to reduce the number of stray and abandoned cats and dogs.
The 100km challenge is designed for everyone. Whether you choose to walk, run, swim, cycle, or even skydive, this challenge is for you. While the challenge states 100 kilometres, feel free to reinterpret it as you see fit. You can aim for 100 of anything! Consider walking 100 steps, cycling 100km, writing 100 poems, doing 100 press-ups, planting 100 wildflowers, or jumping 100 metres! Whatever you choose to do, your challenge will have a positive impact on animals and their welfare around the world, and you’ll help spread the wonderful message “save animals, save the planet”.
