It’s Change a Pet’s Life Day and we’re thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the Pet Rescue Grant 2025! This unique fund is dedicated to supporting frontline animal rescue organisations that work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate dogs, cats and rabbits impacted by the UK’s low-welfare and illegal pet trade.
From cruel puppy farming to unlicensed backyard breeding and reckless pet selling, countless animals suffer at the hands of those who exploit them for profit. Through this grant, we aim to help the selfless non-profits that go above and beyond to protect and care for these vulnerable animals.
What is the Pet Rescue Grant?
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, 2025 marks an exciting milestone: for the first time, we’re offering two grants!
- Main Pet Rescue Grant: Up to £10,000 is available for registered charities and community interest companies (CICs) operating in the UK.
- Mini Pet Rescue Grant: Up to £1,000 is available for unregistered charities and voluntary groups making a difference for animals.
Both grants are designed to support impactful projects and initiatives that provide rescue and rehabilitation for pets who’ve been affected by the pet trade. Find out more about the grant here.
How do rescue organisations apply?
Applying is simple! Download and complete the relevant application form from this page and submit it to petrescuegrant@naturewatch.org by Friday, 21st February 2025.
We can’t wait to see the incredible ideas and projects from organisations dedicated to transforming pets’ lives. Winners will be announced in April 2025.
