As we settle into the new year, it seems like a natural time to reflect back on everything we achieved in 2024. It was a huge year for Naturewatch Foundation – where we tackled a whole host of urgent animal welfare issues spanning everything from illegal greed breeding to outdated animal experiments.
The Annual Review is a testament to the dedication, perseverance and compassion that make up our work. None of this would be possible without you – our incredible supporters, donors, volunteers, patrons and partners. Together, we have made a real impact supporting thousands of animals in need. We hope this Annual Review gives you a glimpse into what we have achieved.
A Year of Progress
Naturewatch Foundation has been at the forefront of major animal welfare campaigns this year. Thanks to the unwavering commitment of our supporters, we have:
- Combated illegal pet breeding – Exposing and challenging unethical breeders to protect vulnerable animals from exploitation.
- Fought against wildlife crime – Standing up against poaching, illegal hunting, and other heinous acts against nature.
- Advocated for an end to outdated animal experiments – Promoting ethical and humane alternatives to animal testing.
- Supported animal welfare campaigners in Eastern Europe – Including vital aid to those protecting animals in Ukraine.
- Raised awareness of the link between domestic abuse and animal violence – Bringing hope and safety to both human and animal survivors.
Every October, we also take pride in coordinating World Animal Day, bringing together advocates and communities worldwide to honour and protect animals of all kinds. This year, our chosen theme was ‘The world is their home too’. We, of course, held our annual ‘Design a Mug competition’, recruited several more brilliant ambassadors who held events across the globe, and launched our ‘donate-a-dinner’ campaign!
